Exploring Story Elements

with Bill Harley

Bill’s workshop will introduce exercises that focus on some basic elements of storytelling as a prompt for sharing stories and discussion. Topics will include - developing a story; basic story structure; how to fix a story that doesn’t work; introducing music in story; and, as time allows,,some thoughts on the narrator’s role in a story and humor. The main goal is to provide a forum for participants to tell their stories and try out some new things. Finally, we’ll draw on the years and years of experience in storytelling that group members brings to our time together.
